Zeina Chamas joined ICMP in September 2019. As Deputy Head of the Syria/MENA Program she is responsible for relations with government entities, international organizations and civil society organizations that are working on the missing persons issue in the region. This includes supporting dialogue among stakeholders and organizing policy forums to develop and sustain effective missing persons strategies.
Prior to joining ICMP, Ms. Chamas was a business development and communications consultant; she also served as Chief Executive Director of a multinational news gathering agency and production house and the Deputy-Delegate of Terre des hommes – Lausanne’s regional office. Ms. Chamas is a founding member of a number of NGOs focusing on women’s empowerment. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Political Sciences & Public Administration from the American University of Beirut.
