Kevin Sullivan joined ICMP as Communications Manager in February 2018. He previously worked for ICMP in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Before that, Mr Sullivan was a spokesperson and speechwriter at the Office of the High Representative in Sarajevo. He began his career as a foreign correspondent, working in East Asia and the Western Balkans. He covered the 1989 events in Tiananmen Square for the Glasgow Herald and the siege of Dubrovnik and the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the Guardian and United Press International.
For five years he wrote a column on world affairs from a mountain village in the south of Spain. He has published several novels, one of which, The Longest Winter, describes the siege of Sarajevo. Mr Sullivan studied at Blairs College, Aberdeen, and at Glasgow University, where he graduated with an MA honors degree in History and English.
