Sweden announces continued support to ICMP

3 February 2012: Sweden will continue to fund the work of the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) in the years 2012 and 2013 through a grant from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). This announcement was made during today’s visit of the Director-General for Development Cooperation at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Johan Borgstam and the Swedish Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Bosse Hedberg to ICMP’s headquarters in Sarajevo.

EU and ICMP sign a donation agreement

25 January 2012: The European Union announced today at a press conference it will continue funding the activities of the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) in the Western Balkans in the period December 2011 – December 2013. A donation in the amount of 2 million EUR is aimed at supporting ICMP’s technical assistance to the governments in the region in locating and identifying missing persons from the armed conflicts of the 1990’s.

Extension of Deadline for Civil Society Initiatives Program in Iraq

17 January 2012: ICMP would like to notify NGOs and civil society organizations in Iraq that the deadline for proposal submission is extented until 31 January 2012.
